About

bio

SABIOS is a synth-pop project led by Eric Robles, blending alternative R&B, synth-pop, and a splash of jazz-inspired fusion.

Formed in Modesto, CA in 2018, SABIOS began playing live in 2019 with a lineup consisting of Andrew Mendoza (Bass, Vox), Jesse Rivera (Synth, Vox), Victor Alvarado (Drums), and Anthony Stavrianoudakis (Guitar). The band's current guitarist, Jesus Mejia, joined in 2022.

SABIOS draws influence from artists like Tame Impala, Blood Orange, and Benny Sings. They often compare their sound to the likes of Cuco, Triathalon, and Porches.

Eric, the creative force behind SABIOS, is actively working on multiple projects to refine and retune the band's sound. An advancement in mixing and production tools has inspired him to re-record some of their original songs while also writing new material.

A collaboration with Modesto-based artist Joseph Walker (aka Joe Rollator) is on the horizon for a December 2025 release.

SABIOS EP

SABIOS

SABIOS EP was recorded and released in 2018. A synth heavy EP which begins with an ode to Eric's then 10 year old Cocker Spaniel Max. We are introduced to a SABIOS sound very much influenced by the 2017 synth pop scene that was taking over. Blends of R&B, 80's synth sounds, and modern pop melodies.
